is 'serosorting' a reliable prevention method for HIV?
I would say yes! But I think it is a case-by-case bases but it’s really one's own harm reduction method. If they are honest about their wants and needs to their partner I don't see why this wouldn't be a reliable prevention method. Also if individuals are being tested on a regular basis then they would be able to keep up with their status and avoid transmission during the window periods. Now when it comes to relationships and getting to know someone on a different level, this might cause a few problems if they don’t know your status. It’s all about Communication... Communication... Communication. I feel like someone should disclose their status as soon as possible so that they don’t cause themselves heartache and pain. We all know that some people are just not going to be attracted to us; just as they may not be attracted to red heads or someone who is much taller than them. Its not because of you its just they’re preference, just like any other physical traits they may be interested in.
