is 'serosorting' a reliable prevention method for HIV?

Annette

For me personally I don’t believe that serosorting is a reliable method for preventing HIV. After all, people lie on a regular basis about their HIV status, that is if they even know their status. It is very easy to give misleading information over the Internet. The only way a person who serosorts can be 100% sure they’re connecting with an individual who is HIV negative is for the two individuals to get tested together and get their results together. Ultimately, in this day and age a person’s word holds no weight or value. Why would you want to risk your health?
