I was shown Andrea's profile through a friend of hers and am deeply moved by her story. But I have to say first and foremost that I am proud of her for being as strong a person as she is. She has truly turned her life around for the better and wish her the best of everything in the future. You go girl!
I have had the privilege of knowing Andrea for about 6-7 years now. We became close friends quick and that's why I think she didn't have a problem letting me know she was positive. I was overwhelmed at first but happy that she thought of her and I being good friends to tell me that information. I have always been very proud of Andrea in how she handled herself and how she conducted her personal ways of life. I know 3 people who are HIV positive, and never met a women who could take care of her business so well and be so strong through out her life.. Also i feel lucky enough to meet her son and her hubby. It makes me happy to know she is happy and moving forward in her life and not letting anything get in her way...we might not see much of each other, but i know that we both have a friendship to speak to each other like we are brother and sister...I love Andrea!!!
This story is so amazing too me! I respect the strength and courage you possess! I recently tested positive and I try to keep my head high and stay positive, some days are better than others. I find it very brave to come out and be honest about your positive status. I am so afraid of abandonment! I am currently in Nursing school and very determined to complete it to, work in my chosen career. I love this story as your a woman, mother and a nurse all while being HIV+...my life story isnt filled with traumatic experiences so I know that with all that you have endured and you still became successful while finding fulfillment in your life, I KNOW I CAN TOO! Thanks so much for giving me HOPE!
Andrea is such an angel. God bless you for being so strong for your son and family. I wish you the best always.
Thank you so much for your encouragement. God bless you Jadelle.
Andrea,
Wow!!! I'm so proud of you for getting the help that you needed, but more so, because we both know you have to want it in order for it to work. Reading through your life sure brought me back to those days of despair and also to hope. I'm so happy that you have finally found the happiness that you so deserve with your husband and beautiful son. I think it's great that you are helping others by sharing your past and present experiences.
Love Ya,
Debbie
Thank you Debbie. I am luckier than most people in the fact that my family is so open and supportive. They do not ask me to be ashamed of my status nor are they ashamed of it. I am very fortunate in that aspect.
Andrea,
I'm so proud of you for doing this. You are a strong beautiful friend who has been to hell and back. I loved the story you shared and I'm just glad that you are on here to let people know that, even if you are diagnosed with HIV, you can still live a normal life. I love you and I'm so proud of you.
Thanks Natalia for all your love and support.
